Where do you fit in as a Business Development Associate?

As a Business Development Associate, your primary responsibility is to increase our client base and develop relationships with these partners. This is a new role as our team continues to grow. Day to day you will be working closely with Recruitment Consultants and coordinating with our Marketing team. You will report to the Head of Office and be mentored by our Strategy Director. Responsibilities include:

  • Converting leads to clients.
  • Cold calling and cold messaging prospects.
  • Building, growing, and maintaining a high-quality professional network of clients.
  • Building a contact database of prospective companies.
  • Negotiating and renegotiating business terms with senior stakeholders
  • Identifying, researching, and developing new business opportunities.
  • Building long-term relationships with our clients who are global decision makers: i.e., C-Suite, Founders, Owners, Presidents, VPs, Directors, or Hiring Managers.
  • Collaborating with our Marketing team on marketing processes and campaigns bringing in new clients.
  • Ensuring all business development activities are documented, coordinated, & executed in a timely manner.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ease with outbound client cold calling
  • Excitement with the prospect of speaking daily with clients
  • Comfortability sparring, negotiating, and creating solutions with high level decision makers
  • Hunter, commercial, and proactive mindset
  • Highly competitive nature

  • Motivation to develop yourself (personally and professionally)
  • An inner drive to make the best out of every situation

What would set you apart?

  • Exemplary English proficiency – especially in verbal communications
  • 1-2 years of experience in business development
  • Experience and ease with outbound client cold calling
  • Well-versed in negotiating and managing international clients
  • Exposure or understanding of recruitment, talent acquisition, sourcing, and/or HR industry
  • Has worked in a startup environment
