Your new role: Senior Account Manager | Account and Project Management | Marketing Strategy and Execution | Team and Account Leadership

As a senior account manager, there will be expectations to run the team independently, to defend and increase our revenue, and to assist in the broader team and business management; the latter two will increase in scope as you grow your capabilities toward the role of a lead. 

Account and Project Management 

  • Day-to-day management of accounts to deliver a proactive and reliable account management service, including addressing client queries effectively and in a timely manner 
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, with the view of maintaining client satisfaction and mining for new business opportunities within accounts 
  • Lead and manage projects, including taking detailed briefs, distilling briefs into actionable strategies, scoping and maintaining budgets, developing and maintaining timelines, creating and presenting proposals, and collaborating with internal teams across functions (marketing, creative, insights, tech) and external suppliers 
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with client expectations and quality standards, on time and within budget, including performing quality control across all deliverables
  • Understand and distill the essential dynamics and drivers of the client’s business and objectives to interpret them into solutions and ensure the relevance and efficacy of strategies 
  • Maintain financial management across accounts, provide accurate forecasts, ensure margins on projects are maintained and identify ways to boost profit within accounts 
  • Lead client calls, including brief-taking, ongoing WIPs, and project reviews

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Design and set comprehensive goals for performance and meeting of client’s business objectives
  • Oversee strategic implementations and interpret campaign metrics and develop data-driven approaches toward achieving client objectives
  • Plan, develop, and defend budget recommendations, work goals, and campaign strategies
  • Proactively monitor, track and report on campaign metrics and performance 
  • Anticipating trends that may influence our outcome in relation to client’s businesses
  • Conduct competitive analyses or other business research to develop relevant insights to inform marketing strategy
  • Fluent in the workings, language, and lexicon of various disciplines helming our business, i.e., creative, content, digital strategy, Martech, and branding 
  • Identify and consult growth resulting in additional business opportunities for clients and assist in executing strategies against those opportunities when necessary

Team and Account Leadership

  • Develop an efficient and collaborative working with a cross-disciplinary team of designers, content strategists, researchers, marketers, and account managers
  • Drive strategic direction and implementation for the team across projects and accounts
  • Contribute effective and innovative ideas for running accounts
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of business strategies, plans, and procedures for AKIN and the business
  • Work with key heads of business and disciplines in day-to-day operations to optimize workflow efficiencies
  • Takes charge of given tasks to completion, self-educating if necessary
  • Lead by example and encourage maximum performance and dedication 
  • Chart out solutions and structure even amidst ambiguity, stepping up when needed
  • Proactive in driving initiatives and positive change within the company 
  • Preferably effective in managing and mentoring junior team members

What we need from you? 

  • Possess at least a Marketing Diploma or Professional Degree in any field
  • At least 5 years of working experience in marketing, with a prior agency or consultancy experience preferred, hands-on in digital media and account management capacities
  • Fluency across marketing strategies, understanding of the customer funnel, and ability to optimize conversions at various stages 
  • Fluency with performance KPIs: CPA, CPC, CPI, CPM, Attribution, and LTV
  • Knowledge of online advertising platforms and analytics tools for online channels
  • Knowledge with creation and running of email workflows and campaigns across Hubspot, Mailchimp, Drip, etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present well externally on behalf of the team in a consultative, client-facing environment
  • Strong strategic, implementation, and organization skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects smoothly and thoroughly while adopting a self-directed attitude to achieve results
