The marketing data science team plays a crucial role in making decisions about the entire marketing strategy of this globally operating company. Alongside four other Data Analysts, two of whom are based in New York, you will collaborate with the Data Engineering team to build the Brand Marketing Data Platform. Once it is established, you will analyze vast amounts of data and directly contribute insights to the implementation of the global marketing strategy!
As the Data Analyst within this Marketing Data Science team, your main focus will be on the following areas:
- Developing data models and setting up Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) architectures to support the work of the Marketing Data Science team.
- Researching marketing platform documentation and creating integration requirements for the engineering team.
- Manually setting up data pipelines, including writing code in Python and SQL.
- Establishing data quality monitoring, including notification systems, monitoring dashboards, and issue resolution protocols.
- Analyzing onboarded datasets to identify inconsistencies and proactively resolve data issues.
- Collaborating with the Data Engineering team, Data Operations, the Business Intelligence team, and partner contacts to ensure timely and smooth project execution.
As the new Data Analyst, we require the following from you:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and manipulation.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in building data integrations, ETL, and data visualizations.
- Excellent ability to identify data inconsistencies, detect the origins of anomalies, and find efficient solutions.
- Experience working with marketing data, preferably knowledge of campaign management tools of marketing platforms.
- Experience with Google Sheets/Drive API, Google App Scripts/JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with data engineering teams, ability to clearly formulate requirements and anticipate challenges.
- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders in English, both internal and external partners.
